1、 Product Overview

PT100 Thermistor Temperature Sensor is a high-precision temperature sensor based on the temperature dependent characteristics of platinum (Pt) resistance, named after its resistance value of 100 Ω at 0 ℃ (PT stands for Platinum). As a core component in the field of industrial temperature measurement, PT100 is widely used in temperature measurement scenarios ranging from -200 ℃ to+850 ℃ due to its high stability, good linearity, and strong anti-interference ability. 2、 Working principle

PT100 belongs to the category of Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD), and its working principle is different from that of a thermocouple (based on thermoelectric effect):

Resistance temperature relationship: The resistance of platinum resistors increases approximately linearly with temperature, following the division table specified in the international standard IEC 60751.

Mathematical formula:

Among them, R0=100 Ω R0=100 Ω, A/B/C are the characteristic constants of platinum material.

8、 Installation and maintenance

Installation points:

Ensure that the temperature sensing area is in full contact with the measured medium, and the insertion depth is ≥ 15 times the diameter of the protective tube.

Avoid wire breakage caused by mechanical stress or vibration.

Maintenance suggestions:

Regular calibration (recommended cycle of 12 months).

Clean the surface scaling of the probe and check the oxidation status of the wiring terminals.

9、 Precautions

PT100 needs to be used in conjunction with specialized transmitters or instruments and cannot be directly connected to ordinary voltage input devices.

Avoid using in environments with strong magnetic fields or sudden temperature changes.

It is recommended to use S-type thermocouples when the temperature exceeds 850 ℃.
